    Every single one is PERFECT!

Cat haiku (17 syllables, three lines):

    The food in my bowl
Is old, and more to the point
    Contains no tuna.
    ----
    So you want to play.
Will I claw at dancing string?
    Your ankle's closer.
    ----
    There's no dignity
In being sick - which is why
    I don't tell you where.
    ----
    Seeking solitude
I am locked in the closet.
    For once I need you.
    ----
    Tiny can, dumped in
    Plastic bowl. Presentation,
    One star; service: none.
    ----
    Am I in your way?
You seem to have it backwards:
    This pillow's taken.
    ----
    Your mouth is moving;
    Up and down, emitting noise.
    I've lost interest.
    ----
    The dog wags his tail,
    Seeking approval. See mine?
    Different message.
    ----
    My brain: walnut-sized.
    Yours: largest among primates.
    Yet, who leaves for work?
    ----
    Most problems can be
    Ignored. The more difficult
    Ones can be slept through.
    ----
    My affection is conditional.
    Don't stand up,
    It's your lap I love.
    ----
    Cats can't steal the breath
Of children. But if my tail's
    Pulled again, I'll learn.
    ----
    I don't mind being
Teased, any more than you mind
    A skin graft or two.
    ----
    So you call this thing
    Your "cat carrier." I call
    These my "blades of death."
    ----
    Toy mice, dancing yarn
    Meowing sounds. I'm convinced:
    You're an idiot.

    ROTFLOL!!!
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

This one is quite common around here. Scary thing is that hubby doesn't even argue it: he simply accepts it as truth.

I went to visit a friend who has her daughter visiting her.

The daughter had brought her cat - and the cat was sleeping on one of the main chairs in the living room area. All of the other seats were taken.

My friend brought me a dining room chair to sit on.

I never thought twice about it. Made perfect sense to me - I would never disturb a sleeping cat and obviously she wasn't going to either. Aren't we all funny?

I true cat lover indeed! I would have done the same thing.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I wrote a two pages of a paper one time standing up because Weezie was sleeping in the computer chair. I would never disturb her but I will admit, I'm glad she got up. The paper had to be six pages long!
Proud meowmy of Weezie, Eepie, Grey Girl and Neko...or Weezer Peezer, Eepie Peepie, Grey Grey and Neko the Gecko as they are commonly known!

This is common around my house. Last Friday poor Mina was shut in the bedroom closet from the time my fiance left at 3 until I got back from class at 9. Poor dear.
