    Sahara Photos...my poor girlie

    Just thought I would post of few of my girlie since she is so pitiful...

    This is one of Sahara's feet...you can see the redness. The one in the sock is much worse. She can even walk on it anymore


    It is also under her armpits...and near her little bum.


    One more of her paw...

    Sahara had demodex mange when we rescued her. She was void of all hair and really crusty. We diligently had her dipped and about a month and a half ago she was pronouced mange free! I think it is acting up again...and that is causing the rawness and bumps.

    Oh that is just heartbreaking Bless you for taking such good care of her. POOR baby!!! I hope her paws and belly heal quickly! Does she have to go back to the vet's? Give Sahara a hug for me!

    Poor Sahara I had a dog, my RB Corey that had that mange but we caught it early and it never came back.I hope Sahara gets this all fixed up again soon.

    Thanks everyone. We're off to the vet in the morning for some advice and meds for the girl. She has been pretty lethargic most of the day...not interested much in food or water. We're watching her closely. Needless to say, after the rude encounter this weekend with our regular vet, I will not be taking her back there. We have seen a vet that has a few danes and one of them had a bad case of this type of mange too. She said her baby's feet are permanently deformed because of how bad the mange was. We'll fight this to the end for Sahara. She deserves the best!! Please send good thoughts in the morning....I'll keep you updated

    Oh my. I sure do hope Sahara is all healed up soon. That puppy pic just broke my heart. I'm so glad she has you to look after her and make sure she gets well. Please give Sahara a hug from me. I'll be thinking about her. Keep us posted.

    Poor Sahara. Sending good thoughts for the vet visit today.

    Chester says it stinks when your paws are bad like that. He has allergies and licks them bloody, crusty, and raw.

    Poor girl! You are a great mom to go to so much trouble to make her pain free. I hope this goes away soon. I know she must be miserable.
