    NBA Player Investigated For Dog Fighting

    Did anyone else see the ABC story this week.

    That is so sad. How could anyone EVER do that? anyone that does that kind of stuff to animals are sick minded people.

    What an idiot.

    From the article:

    "I was going to breed it with my other dog, but they didn't take, so I just decided to get rid of it," he said. "I know this guy and I took my dog over there. And he saw my dog and he wanted it. So I gave it to him."


    IT ????? He keeps calling the dog "it" (which I realize is the least of the problems here, but it bothers me)

    I hope someone fights him and then leaves him in a field somewhere.

    I hope that, if guilty, he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law, loses his position on the team, and has to spend the next YEAR working in an animal-care facility for no pay.

    Congratulations to his team for immediately suspending him.

    THIS JUST IN.

    In a plea agreement today, Quintel Woods pled guilty to one count of Animal Abuse in the first degree.
    He was sentenced to:
    12 months probation
    80 hours of community service
    No pets for one year
    $10,000 check to Oregon Humane Society

    He was suspended from Trailblazers for the season without pay Oct. 12, 2004. Now on waivers so he won't be returning to that team.

    Home foreclosed in December.
