    claws

As most of you know, I am very new to this cat thing!! My question is kind of a dumb one:
Kylie has her back claws, do they need trimmed like a dog's does??
    Thanks for your help!!

shais_mom, no question is ever a dumb question
Typically for me, I do clip my cats nails, both front and back. The rear claws seem to be more worn down, so I don't clip them as often. Usually if I'm clipping the front, I'll look at the back ones to see if they need it too. If you already don't have a pair of animal nail clippers, I use the "tiny tiger" cat nail clippers. They prevent the nail from splitting unlike with human nail clippers. Good luck!
