    Zeus' New Diet :\

OMG my pug, zeus, has a million gazillion skin problems and so today our groomer looked up pugs and what they are allergic to- it seems like everything in our dog food he's allergic to it. so we went and bought him new food- no white rice, no ocean fish, no poultry, etc. etc.
i just hope that this new food will help him with all that chewing on his itchy paws at night and getting a lot of skin infections. BTW we have been treating him with medicine and his thyroid (sp.?) condition cleared up but not the allergies. we hope this helps.

    flamepony12,

not trying to be rude or something, but you do know there is a dog section of this forum, right???

The dogster thread, and this one really should have been posted there.

i hope he gets better soon!

My RB dalmation had a Thyroid problem, and had to take medicine, and when we moved to the U.S,she got really bad allergies so she would chew her paws too it was sad and she had to go on a special diet, and she did alot better on that diet.

Is that food your vet or your groomer suggested?

I only ask because the groomer we have at work is always saying stuff like she knows how to diagnose animals, but honestly has no clue. She's repeatedly suggested that animals see a vet, but when its time for the exam (same day, usually), there's nothing actually wrong with the animal.

Does your vet do allergy testing?
    ...RIP, our sweet Gini...
