Thread: Lap Baby!

    Lap Baby!

It's safe to say that this utterly terrified little kitten is no more!

Mowgli has definitely moved on to lap baby status!

I still find it so hard to believe that these two pics are of the same little guy! He's just so playful and at ease now! As soon as I get the dryer hook-up covered up, I think the Mowg-monster might be ready for the run of the apartment.

You've done such a great job! Mowgli is obviously very intelligent to have chosen you to be his furless mommy.

It is amazing once that fear leaves, what a complete differance it makes in them!

I couldn't agree more with you on this one Jan.

I hate seeing any animal so frightened. It breaks my heart.

Lacey, you have done such a good job on making this scardy cat into a love bug.
Headbumpies and kisses for you sweet Mowgli.

Lacey - you have really worked a miracle on this wildchild! Whata difference and so fast, too. How is Zelda acting towards him now?? He just looks so precious and happy and a lap baby at that! I knew it would happen but was thinking in terns of months!!! Mowgli sure loves his Meowmie

Oh, the Mowg-monster bugs the heck out of Zelda! The two spent a while having mini-wrestling matches, which Mowgli kept losing of course. And I feel like a referee, having to be ready to break it up before it turns into anything serious. Most of it seems to be play, though.

When Zelda got tired of wrestling, she hopped up on my desk, and when Mowgli tried to hop up there with her, she bopped him on the head while he was in mid-jump. I about died laughing when that happened.

"Auntie CCL" says I knew this was gonna happen!! The one thing I was not sure of was Zelda. Each cat is so different but Zelda must be a wonderful girl to have already accepted the new baby. Head bumpies and kisses to you sweet Zelda for making this easier on Meowmie and Mowglie!!

I hope you are as thrilled as the rest of us Lacey. Isn't it a neat feeling when the trust and love begin? It always made me so happy!! Have you had any company yet? I'm just curious because most of mine still are never seen by anyone but us. They never got over that fear.

Big kisses and {{{{HUGS}}}} to ALL of you!!!

I was also wondering how Mowgli would react to others based on what CCL has said about her tamed ferals - seems they bond to their family and have a hard time trusting others.

Is there anything more satisfying than turning a fraidy-cat into a lap-hogger?

Lacey, you much be thrilled and I'm sure you can take most of the credit for being such a patient Meowmie. I'm so happy that Mowgli is working out OK. When you have the chance please plant some kissies on that orangie forhead for me. Thanks.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
