    My new niece

My sister and brother-in-law adopted a new GSD pup from Brightstar German Shepard rescue last week. They named her Sierra and brought her over to my house last weekend to meet my crew. Penny was being a pain, but Leo thought she was terrific. I took some pictures of her first day meeting everyone. Her and their other GSD Hutch are getting along great and she is fitting into the family extremely well. She is about 14 weeks old now and came from a shelter in Arkansas. Apparently she is a result of a breeder that turns in dogs that he can't sell to the shelter !! Thank goodness for rescue organizations.

Here are a few pictures of her first day.

I didn't look at this first because I thought it was a human What a gorgeous GSD!! That breeder should be put out of business. That's a terrible way to operate. I'm so glad she's got a great home. She sure is pretty.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

    She's adorable!

I saw a pure-bred GSD when we adopted Kiara... as well as a Pure-Bred Austrailian Cattle Dog. Both of them were puppies! I was very surprised to see them there.

Awww she's so cute! Pretty big too, for 14 weeks! Major is about that size and he's about 5 and a half months now. Glad she has a good home, and shame on the breeder!

-thank you Poppy for the avatar.

Well, she came over again today and she has totally gotten over her shyness. She is the most outgoing pup - just wants to play with everyone. She even won over Penny Lane!!!

    WOW

Thanks everyone - yes she is a cutie and she has since completely come out of her shell. She loves playing with Hutch and also has another foster brother at her house as well. With the foster I am getting tomorrow - that makes 6 dogs when we get together!!

She will probably be over again this weekend (as well as my sister's foster and my foster) so hopefully I will get a bunch of pictures for everyone.
