OH NO...sprayed by skunk!!

I just went to the door to let my cat in and there he was in a confrontation with TWO skunks!!!!!! The skunks ran away but not before spraying him and what a mess!! The poor little guy was hyperventilating like crazy, foaming at the mouth, his eyes were watering, his fur is orange where the spray landed and his skin underneath is all red.

I happen to have some left over "Skunk Off" from a few years ago when he got sprayed. He only got hit a tiny little bit that time and there was no problem fixing it up. This time he got hit BIG and everything smells real bad. Him, the house where's he's walked and, ME because I've held him tight to clean him up.

I'm posting here for anyone's suggestions on what I can do and any other information you may have about this happening. The stores aren't open for a few more hours (it's only 5:00am here) so I will be able to buy more "skunk off" and then does this mean I have to soak everything that he's touched, including me, with the stuff?
Will the smell ever go away? Will "Feebreeze" help?

I'm sure hoping someone can talk to me right now about this. I know I'll be able to get answers from the store or vet in a few hours BUT, right now I'm going out of my mind.

Please help me!

I have little advice about the house, but for the cat a mixture of 1 quart hydrogen peroxide with 1/4 cup baking soda and just a few drops of liquid dish soap works well for removing most of the smell. It will need to SOAK on the cat before rinsing. (sorry that I don't know the metric conversions, but just think a large bottle of peroxide and a small amount of baking soda...it does not need to be exact)

Thanks so much for your reply! I'm unable to get the peroxide and baking soda at the moment because the stores are open here yet.
I'm washing down the rugs and everything I can that has been touched by the cat with vinegar and water. Do you think it would be ok to wash down my cat with that also? Do you think it would work?

Any mild acid (dilute vinegar, tomato juice) will work. In the old days they said to drench the animal in tomato juice. Be careful with the peroxide. I'm not sure why they'd recommend baking soda ( a base) when they used to recommend acids. Anyway, good luck, and poor kitty!

Anybody have any ideas on how I can get the smell out of this room he and I are in??? My eyes are watering! Unfortunately, I have him downstairs here in the basement in a room where I have my computer, desk, etc. The smell!! omg it's awful and like I mentioned, my eyes are stinging and watering.

Geezzz.....I need more suggestions now!

I know that my Brother used Tomato juice,on the Dog,you might have to see if the Emergency Vet ,has anything!
