Parasites Strike Again!

Bad News:
Boogie has fleas, and ticks already. I actually found a tick crawling on my leg the other day! He was supposed to go to the Vet a few days ago, but my Dad got sick and couldn't take him. Now I'M sick too! As soon as we are well, we will definetly take him.

Mary,
You have my sympathy!!! I have never seen a tick around here on my dogs or me, but week before last, I found them on Honey, Lilly and Me!!!! I quaranteened the dogs inside, as well as the cats, and sprayed the back yard. Plus, I traded in my unused Advantage (flea control) at the vets and purchased frontline instead. All of my critters have been treated now, and I haven't seen a tick in a week. Hope that's the end of them!!!1

We have an occasional tick around here but none have actually made it into the house since our dogs went to the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago and my cats are inside cats. With Bella coming into our lives I know that is about to change. We thought she had fleas because one night after a vet visit she was scratching. We bought some Advantage from him and enough to do the cats if need be, but we never saw a flea and the scratching didn't continue. For now I am just storing it on a shelf until it is needed. I am sure we will need it before summer is over. With her fur being so light it will make "tick spotting" easy.
