We've noticed the last few days that Fister has blood in his stool. He doesn't really seem bothered, he eats and drinks like normal, but he does call for us a little more - I think. I'm not sure whether it's because he wants me to come and brush him, or if he's trying to tell us something. It seems that he just wants me to sit there on the floor with him and keep him company.

I searched on the web and found this: http://www.vetinfo.com/cbloodystools.html

I've been to visit the vet today, he had a dog on the table, so I talked to his assistant who has been there quite a long time, and also knows Fister. She suggested I should try Royal Canin's Intestinal for a while, and also gave me two Drontal pills for him - about $10 each! It will be interesting to see how I get those two down his throat! They're for worms. I realize he haesn't had a worm treatment for over a year - possibly two.

Fister has been down in the yard 2-3 times in the last month, from 5 min. to half an hour - chewing a bit of grass and sitting in the flower beds. I have occasionally given him a few bits of raw meat while cooking, but not much.

Please keep your fingers and everything crossed that the new diet and the pills will help.
