To all Orange and white cat mommy's

OK, It might seem silly, but today it hit me every Orange and white cat, I ever had has been a male. I've had a solid orange female before but never one with white in them.

So it got me wondering, how many of you have Orange and white females compaired to who has males.

Just wondering how the average's will work out.

We have an orange & white male. I have seen a couple of orange females, but it's quite rare, apparently.

I just voted female for Scout but you might not want to count that. She only has a little white locket on her chest and a little white spot on her belly.

I do know that bisi.cat's Nellie is an orange and white female. I miss her, we need to get bisi.cat back here and posting.

See thats what I was wondering about. Out of all the cats I've had and cared for, they all have been male and I didn't know if it was just my luck or if that's the norm.

I have always heard that solid orangies were mostly male ... not sure about orange with white ... the two who I am currently fostering (Marmy and the new pg mom, Daisy) are both white and orange!

When I was growing up I had an orange and white female cat. I never knew that they were rare until I heard this on Pet Talk.
Luckily when I was looking for an orangie I wanted a male.

    Here's a picture of Puff.

She had 2 litters of kittens and they were all orangies. The father looked like Morris. Puff's mother was an orangie and her grandmother was a calico cat.

Freckles and Blossom (fosters) are orange and white females. Topaz (foster) is an orange and white female. I have an orange female with a white locket (Pixel) and had an orange polydactyl feral (Dax.) Orange females seem to be more commonplace here; I've seen a lot of them around.

We had a similar poll once before - and it seemed to indicate that there were not only more orange males but also that they seemed to have the sweetest dispositions. My very favorite kitties have ALWAYS been orange males (of course I am impartial )

I voted male because of Leroy. I don't know if I have ever seen an orange or white female. How interesting.
