    Canine Cooler Bed? (Poll)

It's like Angus just can't get cooled down this summer. He has been panting more than ever. His favorite place to lay now is up against the house in the mulch (well in the mud, he dug the mulch up).I told the vet about it when we were in there last month and she didn't find any reason for it. Old age I guess

But anyway, I've been looking into getting one of these for Angus. They seem pretty reasonable at
    Ryan's Pet.

Does anyone own one of these or know someone who does? And if you do how do you like it?

Maddie had that problem the last year or two of her life too. A friend bought her one for X-mas and she loved it. She claimed it as hers and wouldn't let Murph on it. I was really amazed at how well it worked. I had it outside for her and it stayed cool all day long, even at the hottest part of the day. Course I did have it in the corner of the covered patio, so it wasn't hit with direct sun. When Oz came along, he ended up puncturing it and it never cooled quite as good after that.

I don't know about the Canine Cooler, so I didn't vote. However, the Chillo for humans is pretty much the same thing. The Chillo works great! (especially for hangovers ) I think Grizz would love one. If Angus get's one let me know if he likes it. I've seen them on Ebay a lot too.

I wonder if that's what's wrong with Duke? He's been panting a lot and I thought it was because of the Pancreatis. He did that a lot before he got sick. Maybe I should get one for him, too. "last few years of their life" Man, that makes me sad.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.

A "few" technically means 3-9, so look at it in a positive way. Nine years to a dog is a long time

Sorry bout that. Poor choice of words. Just meant to agree with Anna that it's probably age related. Murph, who normally loved to be outside, has gotten to where he doesn't want to be out in the backyard any longer than it takes to pee and poop. He runs right back into the a/c, even if Oz, Gully and I stay outside playing. It just seems like they have a harder time regulating their temperature as they age.
