Why Can't I Catch that thing?

My cat loves to pounce on moving shadows! It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
FUNNY! I mean she's just there jumping all over the place trying to catch a shadow, but after awhile she gets frustrated and walks away. Another thing she always dose is when I turn on my disco lamp on she gose nuts! Again she's just jumping all over the place, trying to get all the differnt moving dots.

Our cats like to play with a laser pointer we have. We shine a little dot on the floor, or just about anywhere, and all the cats, especially our Rosie, love to chase it around.

In my old house, where I had the exercise bike placed, shadows were cast by holes in the flywheel. Cookie would come running everytime she would hear me or my son get on the bike, because she loved chasing the shadows across the floor! In our new house, though, there is no place to put the bike that makes shadows, so her new love has become the pantry - every time I go into the kitchen, she runs in with me and cries until I open the pantry door. She then hops on the second shelf, turns around, and peeks out at me! She is so cute when she does that! If I have just been to the store and "her" shelf is too full for her to jump on, she cries until I rearrange it to make room for her.
