Gigi's teeth problem

I have posted Gigi's teeth problem in Dog's General awhile ago... I think. She is 7 months old now and going to be 8 next week and she still has 4 tiny teeth IN FRONT of her adult teeth on the the upper jaw in the front. And she also has another baby fang on the upper jaw. What will happen if they are not removed? We were at the vet on Sat for her ear problem (she got a little infection because she was itching it which we think is from the food she eats) and the estimate is about $400. She won't have her little sir-jury until late June. So I do want to hear all about the options, since it's quite a bit of money.

Poor Gigi!

The baby teeth might stop the proper alignment of the adult teeth and cause longer term problems.

Will the vet accept part-payments?

That's what I thought and I think the nurse told me something about infection etc etc.

I still have about a month to come up with the money, so I think I will be fine or I will have to use my credit card. And I hope by that time her teeth will fall by themselves??

Malone had a baby tooth that hung on FOREVER. I think he nearly a year old or older by the time that last one fell out. I was getting concerned about it, but at the same time he wasn't it any pain; played, ate and drank fine, and it didn't seem to bother him. So I put off having it removed, and it came out naturally.

But since Gigi has several of them, maybe there is some underlying problem? It's hard to say. But if she is eating/drinking/playing just fine, and not showing any symptoms, then it probably would be safe to postpone it until you have the money, or they come out. (just my .02)

Our dachshund, Muffin still had both of her baby canine's at one year. There was a scary looking mouth with all four canine's.

We took her in last month, had the canines removed and her teeth cleaned. Max, our older dachshund never had this problem but the vet said it happens sometimes.
