Bassett and Tilly are going to the Vet on Friday

It's that time of year for Tilly.. getting her annual check up and vaccinations. So, nothing too drastic for her.

Bassett on the otherhand... *SIGH*.. we are having some serious pee problems still, and it seems to be getting worse. I'm going to get another urine test done (she had one last year when she was sick with chylothorax) to rule anything like that out, and go from there. She is really making a mess in my house, and since this isn't technically MY house (I rent) it's a problem. Today while I was doing chores I discovered that she had peed on one of my dining room chairs I think I know what happened.. she probably wanted to sit on the window seat and Tilly or Nutmeg wouldn't let her up, so she got revenge on the cushion. She does take Amitriptyline but maybe I have to up her dosage or something. Just please pray that this can be easily fixed.. I'm so frustrated by her behaviour that I'm going crazy

I will let you know how it all goes; I posted this really early but please keep them in your thoughts!

Felicia is going on Thursday for her Distemper shot and yearly check-up.

I will be praying that Bassett can be helped with her litter box problem. I'll be anxious to know how she made out.

Beau and Felicia always use their box. Sometimes Felicia stands too close to the edge, or stands up and the pee goes on the floor. That is my worst problem.

Naomi, I sure hope that there's nothing seriously wrong with Bassett. I'll be keeping both Tilly and Bassett in my thoughts and prayers. I hope they both receive a clean bill of health. Please keep us updated.

I hope that poor Bassett does not have a serious problem and that the vet visit does go well for both Bassett and Tilly.
Do try to keep your spirits up.

    Well, we just got back.

Tilly's vaccination went fine, other than her EXTREME rudeness!! She growled, and huffed, and hissed, and made SO much noise I wasn't even sure it was Tilly! But she did ok, and is in good health. She got some new treats for tartar, and is as good as new.

Bassett is also in good health. The vet said that because of her history, and the fact that Bassett has no blood or anything like that, it's a behaviour problem still. I'm to keep giving Bassett the amytriptyline, and they gave me some Feliway spray to put on the areas that Bassett has marked. Also, they said if Tilly continues to be an agressor to Bassett (Tilly can be MEAN) that I should try giving Tilly the drugs too.

So for now, everything is okay, and we'll see how the Feliway works!

Great news Naomi! Especially for Bassett being healthy.

Hopefully the Feliway and the continued drugs will do their thing. And Tilly mean? I it hard to believe that such a cutie is mean. But knowing she's a tortie.........

Great news Naomi. Make sure you give them all scritches from me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Naomi, I'm glad to hear that both Tilly and Bassett are both healthy. Hopefully the meds will begin to help Bassett and hopefully Tilly will become nicer to Bassett. Good luck.
