Help me! A nice person ( who calls herself SpanielGirl) rescued me from a place where I was kept in a small, concrete floor kennel for my whole 8 years! I never got to play on grass, though I could smell it, and I would imagine how good it would feel to roll and play in it! I had only had 1 or 2 hair cuts in my whole life, and when SpanielGirl first saw me, my fur was so matted and dirty, I was embarassed and worried she wouldn't want me! But she did want me! She took me to her home and washed me 3 times in a row! It felt so good to be touched, and the water made my skin feel so nice. She tried to cut my matts out as best she could, but they were so bad, she was afraid she would cut me, so the next day after she got me, I went to the groomers. Everone who saw me said I was the worst case of neglect they had seen, EVER!
My ears were so matted and heavy, SpanielGirl said they looked like slabs of stone. It took the groomer 3 whole hours to groom, and shave me. She had to give me some medicine to calm me down because I was so scared about her touching my ears. They hurt so bad, and they were so heavy they pulled my eyelids tight!
After she got me all bathed and clipped, I felt great! I could walk, and play and roll! I felt like a new pup, and I was so proud that I looked good! SpanielGirl foud out something I've known for a long time, I'm blind. I have what people call cataracts, and I can not see anything but light. I use my ears to find SpanielGirl and her family. I also have 3 dog friends, and I like them a lot. I now live in a big enclosure with grass, trees and leaves and dirt! I am happy! SpanielGirl really loves me, I know she does. But, she has 3 little human kids and really doesnt have the time to dedicate to me. Im happy here, I hope she knows that. But she says she wants what is BEST for me, and she says there is some one out there who can let me live the rest of my life in a house! A real house, a comfy bed! I know I could learn to be house trained,I am a smart boy. If you know who would want me, please Email SpanielGirl at [email protected]
SpanielGirl is gonna keep me if no one wants me, and I love her and my friends. I am 8 years old, (around 80) in dog years, and a couch DOES sound inviting!
