KITTENS!!!

On Wednesday I took a VERY pregnant orange and white female, Topaz, off our rescue line. She looked ready to pop ANY minute! I had several large carriers with bedding (they make first rate kitten caves) and she was performing quality control on each. I knew from this nesting behavior kittens weren't far behind.

This morning (her room is across the hall from mine) I was half asleep and thought I heard that distinctive newborn squeaky meow. I JUMPED out of bed and *quietly* opened the door. In the vary Largest, best padded carrier was Topaz, with a very smug look on her face, and a tiny head peeked up. There were at least 3 back there (she had her back to the audience.)

They were clearly nursing, and I could see her grooming them. I think there may be more coming.

I'll have pics but not until everyone is settled down.
