KITTENS!!!
On Wednesday I took a VERY pregnant orange and white female, Topaz, off our rescue line. She looked ready to pop ANY minute! I had several large carriers with bedding (they make first rate kitten caves) and she was performing quality control on each.I knew from this nesting behavior kittens weren't far behind.
This morning (her room is across the hall from mine) I was half asleep and thought I heard that distinctive newborn squeaky meow. I JUMPED out of bed and *quietly* opened the door. In the vary Largest, best padded carrier was Topaz, with a very smug look on her face, and a tiny head peeked up. There were at least 3 back there (she had her back to the audience.)![]()
They were clearly nursing, and I could see her grooming them. I think there may be more coming.
I'll have pics but not until everyone is settled down.
