making a cage?

who here has made a cage?
I want to make one out of a three level book shelf, but i dont know how To make the door frame.....

I'm making a cage! Well you know that lol.

But I have no clue what you could make the door frame with. If you go to Rona, they have reeeeeally cheap wall edging that you could use actually. I'm serious, they are really tall and cheap, like 3 or 4 dollars.

I made a rat cage:



The doors were solid wood, I had my dad cut out a frame with a jigaw, I think that's what it's called. It took him about two seconds to cut out a fram from the solid wood doors, then I took a staple gun and stapled on the poultry wire.

The cage looks a little different than it does in the picture, I have added a lot to it, I suppose I should take a newer picture, eh!?

They LOOOOVE the new cage, and so do I. I put casters on the bottom to move it around, hehe, that's nice...

thanks guys.. i think i am going to but base bords and use them to make a border to the cage door....
