My attempt at making a v-day card

Well I am not near the talented artist some others are here but I used to do a decent job drawing using a picture to look at as a guide. I decided it would be unique this year to make a Valentine's Day card for my husband.. Since we both love gardening I figured it wouldn't to too cheesy to draw flowers on it .

I put my own "greeting" on the inside after trying to think for a long time this morning what I would like it to say.. I came up with this:

I wish there were words that could truly tell you how much you mean to me

How happy it makes me when I see you smile...

How good it makes me feel when I hear you laugh...

How much I treasure the times when we sit and talk together...

But words are only words and could never express what I would like for them to.

Instead, you have only to look into my eyes to see just how much I love you.

And here is the "art work" . Pre coloring

And after coloring.. ignore the smudges please . I erased those more later.

Thanks for the kind words and compliments . I'm hoping he appreciates it more than he usually does cards, which he generally reads and then tosses aside without much reaction .

I really enjoyed drawing again. I'll have to do more of it

    K9soul,

I think your drawing is very good & agree with Sandra that
"this is one he won't toss aside". A beautiful thought and a
    beautiful picture.

I gave it to him this morning and he was really impressed . The words really seemed to touch him too. He's been in a really cheery, upbeat mood all morning
