Oh man, Petfinder is just brutal...

Josh and I are considering getting another dog in late summer/early fall this year after we get married and are settled down [could possibly be before that...who knows]. Anyway, we had thought a smaller dog would maybe be best...but neither one of us really want anything much smaller than 40lbs, so that may not work out.

Even though we have quite awhile to go before we even really get into the whole process of adopting and whatnot, I figure it's never too soon to start looking.

Jeez, let me tell you what...Petfinder is rough. Every dog I see on there I want...ay.

I just felt like showing you some of the dogs that both Josh and I love.

A one-year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is definitely a gorgeous girl...


I love this dog's color! He's a Catahoula/Lab mix. He sounded like such a sweetheart.


--And now...drumroll please--

Josh showed me this one, and I totally fell in love with him...his name is Chance. He's an American Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix. We are planning on stopping at the shelter he is at sometime soon [although it's quite a ways away from here]. His shelter is near Ft. Lauderdale, and ironically enough Josh and I have a couple friends from school that live out there so it might work out. I just can't get over how gorgeous he is...I love him.


This dog is at the same shelter as Chance, so I would be able to see him too. He's a 2-year old Rhodesian mix.


If all goes well and we are able to meet Chance soon, we may have another dog in the family sooner than expected...provided that he gets along with Moose. Both Josh and I are absolutely smitten with his picture...lol

I love them all. I don't know about you, moose...but don't you feel like we should set up a "show off pics from petfinder thread"? There are so many that I see and am just dying to post their pics. It is so hard not too!

I couldn't agree more, Tonya...but if we started a thread like that, I'd post every pic of every dog I saw. lol.

I can see why you're so in love with Chance! He's absolutely georgous and you can just see his personality in his eyes. That first Rhodesian Ridgeback mix is just as beautiful, I think. I would love to have either of them!!! Please get one soon and then write us all about it. We need a new big, cool dog on Pet Talk (although in my opinion there isn't a cooler big dog on earth than my Maxy Poo!) Just joking. I'm sure your dog would be just as cool as max hehe. No really!
