What breed is he?

Hello all!
I've asked this at a few other forums, but no one has really given me much help .I'm hoping you guys will have some more insight. Dante is my wonderful mix puppy (he'll be 1 yr in Feb.). When we got him we were told he was a Jack Russell x Spaniel cross . What do you think he is??

How big is he? I see Lab in his coloring, don't see Spaniel in him much, maybe the JRT part is right ... Does he have webbed feet?

No, he doesn't have webbed feet. He's about 44lbs, stands 22" at the shoulder.

If he's that big, he probably isn't a JRT. He looks like a lab mix. He's adorable. Just tell people he's a registered Heinz 57 and he's your favorite breed.

I definitely see lab in him, especially the set of his ears. Other than that I don't know. At 44 pounds probably a mid-sized breed in him along with lab somewhere

Thanks all. The more he grows, the more I see lab in him. I just realised that none of the pics I included show his tail. He has a curled tail, right up onto his back. Would that give any of you clues as to what else could be in him?

Yup, I was also told he would never out grow the harness we bought with him ( the one in the first shot) and wouldn't pass 30lbs

I don't know - I think his eyes sort of look like spaniels' eyes, but I'm no expert.
