Sterling Picture (Also Q on spaying)

We have a cat who had a litter of kittens 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, I took some picture of Sterling, one of the kittens. I made a cute personalized picture of her so I thought I'd share it. I'm trying to talk my mom and dad into keeping her. She is the sweetest thing. When her brothers and sisters are all laying together, She's up and looking at you and wondering what you're doing. Anyway, Here's the picture!



Now, for the spaying question. How long after a cat has had kittens do you have to wait until you get her spayed? I'd like to get the momma cat spayed as soon as possible.

Congrats to you on wanting to get the mother cat spayed! You are really making a great choice. I think you can get her spayed after the babies are weaned, but I'm sure someone here can give you better advice. You can also call your vets office and ask. Sterling is very pretty, maybe you can take her and momma cat at the same time to get spayed

as for spaying......2 weeks after she weans the kittens.

Sterling is a right wee cutie, she looks quite big too for 2 weeks old. The lady who owns the pet shop near me has been hand rearing kittens and they're about 5 weeks old now and nowhere near that size (Mums milk must be a lot better for them !!)
