    supplements for puppies

    i have heard that calcium supplements are harmful for puppies. what about brewers yeast?

    To be on the safe side, I think you should always ask your veterinarian first, before giving any supplement.

    I agree with Logan, ask you vet.
    I was always told, if you are feeding
    a good quality puppy food you should not
    need to add any suppliments unless
    your pup is suffering from a
    problem and needs it.

    Hi evelynne
    i agree with the above posters, but also would first and foremost ask your breeder.
    in our breed, i do supplement.
    but at certain ages and when they are in certain growth stages.
    we feed cottage cheese to growing pups yes it is contraversial, but i have not yet had a bad experience doing that and i am comfortable doing that.
