Dog Runs

We just had some concrete poured for a dogrun on the side of the house. It's a large triangular sideyard. I am trying to think of something to put up to protect the dogs from rain and sun. I've looked at porch awnings, but they are pretty expensive. Any other suggestions?

Put a Tarp up?
u can get them in several colours, so maybe one will match ur house.

Or, you could use less expensive drop cloths that have been waterproofed maybe??
