    What a brave dog!!!ha ha

Early Sunday morning, Shaianne let me know that she had to go out like NOW!! So I put my shoes on and got her leash and we headed outside. Now remember we were at my parent's cottage at Crawford lake MI. We walked out the door and suddenly she froze and looked straight ahead, I saw 2 forms across the yard, I wasn't sure what they were. Deer, bobcats, bears, and wolves have been spotted in the area. Shai darted behind me (hence brave dog ) We wheeled back inside and I made my dad wake up and go outside and stand with me!! Then of course Shai was so nervous, with us out there she had to assume the #2 position 3x and on the 4th time she finally succeeded. He went and looke at the tracks this morning and they were 2 sets of small deer tracks!!!
Also, mom and dad's neighbors have 2 malamutes outside, the male is ok tempered. But the female is psycho, she has mauled several dogs in the area, and the DNR officer found her out in the woods a few years ago, twice and tracked her back home, she had killed 3 deer on 2 separate occasions, by herself!!!The officer told her owner, she gets out again and she won't come home. ANYWAY, we always make certain that we take Shai out away from her kennel, and usually we succeed except its hard in the winter with waist high snow drifts around except where the sidewalk is right by her kennel. Well yesterday Shai and I were getting ready for a walk and I had her on leash and was getting something out of the truck and Niki snarled and growled at Shai and she jumped into the front seat, which is a no-no, but my dad thought it was hilarious!! Then today, I was opening the doors to the truck its a 3rd door club cab, I hadn't got the back door open yet, and Niki again snarled and growled and Shai jumped into the back seat, with out the door being open or the seat pushed forward!!! I must admit it was a hard squeeze for her big butt!!! Then she did it again after I took her out for a walk Niki did the same thing and Shai on her flex leash just jumped from the front of the truck to the back seat! My mom just laughed!!! What a brave dog I have!!!

Hahaha! Carl acts similar. He tries to look so big and tough, but he's really a wimp. He'll only bark (alertly) at something if there is a window between him and the thing worthy of being barked at. Otherwise he'll go hide somewhere.
