    Look what found us today...

This sweet little guy came charging into our yard a few hours ago. He hid under my husband's work truck. Took me over an hour to coax him out. He's a black lab mix, about six months old. He's scared, but getting friendlier as he relaxes. He's in my bathroom right now, drying off and eating. I sure hope he has nice people out there who are looking for him. I've called everywhere I can think of and put up posters.

I sure hope he has owners who want him back, but he can stay here if he doesn't! We do alot of fostering for our local humane society and I maintain the website, so I might list him on there if no one claims him. He doesn't appear to be a husky cross and any dog that isn't a husky is highly adoptable around here!

He looks fed - I bet he got wanderlust and skittered away from someone who is looking frantically for him! Boy can they run when they get a mind to ... did he have that collar on him when he showed up?

No, he didn't. I put that on him while I was laying under the truck with him. Easier to get him out with a collar and leash on! Someone called the humane society just a few minutes ago, looking for a female who got lost in our area. I wonder if they took off together!

Better pic of the little guy

He's out of the bathroom now. Still skittish, but he's slowly moving around the house. He seems to be used cats--he's not interested in them anyway. phew!

Just took this pic of him. He's tired and wants to nap, but every new noise wakes him up. My husband is building a garage so there's a lot of noises right now!
