When I first adopted Max he literally lived behind the TV for 2 weeks. I assume he came out and explored when I was at work but whenever I was home he hid. Finally, he would sit on the back of the chair but would not let me touch him at all until the end of the 3rd week. It was a long transition for him.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
