Does your cat like being brushed?

Springtime - the time of the year kitties need to be brushed more than ever - but does your cat like it?

(For those with more than one cat: Multiple choice should be working in this poll...)

..and I apologize for having written "she" all the time in the poll. I cannot edit it but of course this goes for boys also!

    George loves being grommed.

    Milo doesn't mind

Milly bites the brush, then runs for the hills.

My Sid really loves to be brushed. We can have a brushing session and I have to keep emptying the brush.

I have a little cat brush with a turquoise handle that I bought in 1985 and have brushed many a happy cat since then. Each generation of cat just loves this brush. I have another backup brush in case I misplace this one, but they don't like it as much.

All three of mine love being brushed. And it's a good thing, because they are super shedding this year! One pet, and your hand comes away fur covered!!!

Same here, Luna really loves it and she's loudly purring when I'm brushing her. I have bought a soft baby brush for her, and she so enjoys it!

Mishka LOVES it... he rolls around, purrs, drools as if he was on catsnip (about which he could care less by the way )

There wasn't an option for Edwina. She allows it but HATES, HATES, HATES being brushed. She would rather have her nails clipped. During brushing she growls, hiss, and moans. She has short but very thick fur. In the winter we keep the house rather cool (especially in the day time) so her coat gets really dense.

    Here she is making faces.....

Zam hates it and 9 times out of 10 bites me and the brush if I attempt it. Though that 1 time out of 10 if I catch her in a "good" mood she'll let me brush her for no more than 5 minutes.

Katie and Brianna absolutely LOVE being brushed. In fact when I want Brianna to come I just pick up the brush and wave it about asking her if she wants a brush brush and she comes running. Katie waits every morning till she hears I am done brushing my teeth and then jumps up on the sink so I can brush her while I am brushing my own hair.

Kaliban likes to be brushed on her back. She doesn't at all care for brushing anywhere else. And she has an extremely thick undercoat for a short haired cat. So she gets tufts on her back legs if I don't comb them out regularly. This often has to involve Brian holding her down to keep her from biting me while I brush them out.

Deirdre has such a smooth top coat and almost no undercoat that she doesn't really even shed. She never grows a "winter" coat at all. So I don't have a need to really brush her...although I do with a fine bristle brush periodically just to help distribute the natural oils. She tolerates that.

Hayley and Mandy love being brushed. Hayley purrs mad when I take the brush out. My problem is who to brush first.

Both Marius and Scooter like to be brushed, which is a good thing because it's major shedding season now! I've noticed that they shed so much more than they did when we lived in Indiana. Now that we're in California, it's warmer longer....so that means shedding longer!

And at the other end of the spectrum is RUTHERFORD. He CAN NOT get enough of it.
