GERBIL owners advise needed...

I am so happy. My mom said that she could take Sager *my female gerbil with the ear infection* to the vet to get a baytril shot . we are going this week .

oh and one bad thing. Sage is most likely pregnant. Could the baytil shot hurt her babies. Her and Jade just bred.
... I better put an add in the paper pritty soon for free gerbil babies to go in pairs.

What were they doing when they were mating? It's very unusual for gerbils to mate at this hour, they usually wait until very late in the night or very early in the morning
When they mate, they chase eachother around, the male will mount the female, then get off and *check* himself, and the female will also *check* herself. It's followed with more mounting and checking several times..

they did it yesterday at around 1:30 in the afternoon. they did it for like 10 min.. chasing each other and the male *Jade* mounted the female*sage* and would then get off and lick and groom himself, so would Sage. Jade chased Sage around the cage befor each mount. then he would groom her.

I am pritty sure they were mating. I never saw the whole thing though I cam into my room when my mom picked me up from school at lunch and they migyht have been breeding for longer then that.

hee hee, you wish . I didnt have troubles finding homes for my hammies so the gerbils will be going o good homes. I promis .. And also I wanted to add that I give them away for free. I dont liek to make profit for finding my rodent babies good homes .

I also interview each person with a series of common sence questions, on cageing and bedding ect..

I don't think it's a good idea to give ANY pet away for free....my opinion.

I agree. Its gross and not something that there should even be pictures of. Yeah its natural and everything, but its a *private* thing and not a *film* thing. Its nasty. I hate those kinds of pics and the descriptive narration. lol

Uh yeah, I thought you didn't WANT them to breed.... If they were going at it for 2 hours, you could have at least attempted to separate them.

I agree that you shouldnt post pics like that anymore... it seems like you post them a lot....

why didnt you seperate them if you didnt want babies? and why did you house them together if you didnt know what sex they were yet?

and i really dont think you should sell them for free. if they are free, people could just get them "because they are free," and not take good care of them. or they could become snake food!
