    It is properly spelled doughnut. "donut" is like "kreme" - an incorrect but "cute" spelling popularized when it gets used in trade names, etc.

    Dunkin' Donuts technically sells doughnuts, but as it's their store, they can name them anything they like!

    Its really spelled doughnut. Donut is just a wierd spelling like kats or krispey kreme. lol

    We have a donut once in three months................and even that's if we're lucky.

    My mom insists that doughnuts have no nutrition and are nothing but carbohydrates and sugar, deep fried. We only get it once in the blue moon as a treat. But I LOVE donuts!
