I love them They used to have them at total pet all the time, they would call them "skinny pigs."

I know, they stopped years ago...The supplier must have quit...It brings me to the conclusion that there are people supplying the petshop, not just giving pets to them coincedentally

Wolfsoul: what do you mean? Of course there are people supplying the pet shop! We get most of our rabbits and guinea pigs at work from a commercial breeder, which is why I don't support people buying animals from pet stores.

(Is that not the wierdest thing you've ever heard a pet store employee say?)

It's sad, but the supply must meet the demand, so animals are mass produced to supply pet stores. (Although I really think that our supplier is better than most.....the animals always come in healthy, and the angoras are well-groomed, they're just under-socialized)

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

A fellow rat breeder and friend of mine, Debbie at Odd Fellow Rattery breeds hairless or "skinny" pigs. I think they are so adorable, but of course I have a soft spot for hairless critters.

I know that people supply them, it's just I'm surprised that there are more people supplying them than people who just need to get rid of their animals and so bring them in It's sad

I personally don't like anything 'appearance wise' if it has no hair. I don't know, just my opinion.
