a few months ago, after adopting clive the stray, i posted a request for information regarding preferred scratching posts. you guys gave me lots of great advice. I bought a few choices, slathered them in catnip, encouraged. and with the exception of the cardboard box one, he ignored them all. well! he has found his own solution! about a month ago, i was moving things around in the spare room and put an old dart board on the floor. got sidetracked and forgot to put it back in the closet. late that night i heard the strangest sound... and lo and behold clive was going to town on the dart board. so i left it there. NIGHTLY now, clive goes in, has a nice scratch, and then comes back for bed. Impressively the dart board is holding together pretty well!
