    Little Girl Needs Home

    Sent: 3/26/2003 4:51 PM
Take a look at this sweet little puppy. She's a Australian Cattle dog that my friend is trying to find a home for. She's only about 8 mnths and from what we can figure out she's spent at least 2 of those alone, fending for herself with no or little human contact. Some guy brought her in to the vet clinic my friend works at to have her put to sleep...he thought it was more humane then letting his neighbour shoot her My friend however intervened, had her spade, her shots done and all that kind of stuff and is now trying to find her a home. She's a little sweetie, really really really timid however, but my friend is taking her around trying to get her socialized and stuff like that. We're all calling her Stripe because of a cowlike that goes down the middle of her noise.

If anyone is interested in seeing this little girl we have pictures of her and you can e.mail me and I will send them out. She is just beautiful.

    Jackie,

I would love to see her pictures & I'll pm you my e-mail
addresses. My PT e-mail is turned off. Is she in California?
Does she have a name yet? My Smokey is just 9 mos old and
I can just imagine how sad this little must have been to be on
her own for two whole mos. Poor baby.

I knew I forgot to post this some where. Thanks Jackie.

As the post that Jackie posted says. A very good friend of mine rescued a 8 mnth old Australian Cattle dog...also known as a heeler on the weekend. She's very timid but is slowly coming out of her shell. Last night I saw a huge difference from what I saw on the weekend, and she doesn't appear to have any problems with other dogs. I know my friend has contacted some cattle dog rescue groups in Canada and they have said they might be able to take her, but we're all still trying to find her a home.

I myself would love to take her but the limit for dogs in my house has been drawn at three. Plus she will need a home that can devote the time and love to her that she has been lacking.

Here's some pics of the little girl that I took last night.

    and some more...

No her eye doesn't look like that, it's just a weird reflection.

If any one would like more info on her, you can either PM me or E-mail me.

    Thanks

Oh, dear, how sweet is that face. Cattle dogs are such great dogs for an active family. And they are so beautiful. I LOVE their spirit. I pray she finds a home. She slipped the grim reaper once. Now she deserves a life of love and devotion.

Just thought that I would let everyone know that Stripe has a home now. Cattle dog rescue was able to place her in with a lady in BC. Apparently the lady was really looking forward to getting her.
