More Fish help... (Sick Bala Shark)

Remember in my last thread, I said the color was wearing off one of the Bala's?? It is much worse. I just changes the carbon cartridge today (I bought the wrong size last week) and we're watching him to see if he gets better. The Ph is perfect and we added the salts last week during the water change.

He acts normal, he's eating and keeping up with his Bala brothers..so we don't really know what to do. Here is a few pictures of him/them:

The "sick" one is the one on top:

    By himself:

His peach face last week is turning silver and black again. That's a good sign, right? Do you think he's OK??

If he doesn't act sick, and his face is returning to it's normal color, he'll probably be ok.

Who knows about fish ..... a droopy, sickly-looking one can live for five years, and a perfectly healthy-looking one can be floating upside-down the next day.

Just watch him, check your water quality, and do water changes.

Thanks Twisterdog. We'll keep a close eye on him and the water.

Thats interesting. I hope he's okay. Sorry I can't offer any advice. Thats never happened to my fish before. I have had some calico goldfish that changed colors, but they didn't lose color. Keep us updated.

I'm going to do a water change today...hopefully that will help him. I am totally at a loss for what could be causing this now. He's the same this morning as far as his coloring goes. He's lively and eating. Strange...

Could stress do this to him? He isn't bullied, but could it be the cats?
