Scrawny little Shakira/Arizona will be coming to our house tonight. The people who were interested in her adopted a different dog...bad news for Shakira--Wonderful news for Juno who has been in the shelter for a year! There are some puppies coming in tomorrow from a kill shelter so they need an empty kennell to save these little ones. Guess who got that phone call this morning?? They said I could pull whoever I wanted to try, so I am taking Shakira. At least for long enough to get her fattened up a bit! Also I have a friend coming in to town this weekend, who is looking for a dog, and I think they would be a good match. So hopefully, Shakira will have a forever home next week--where I know beyond any doubt that she will be well loved forever!!
