UPDATE 'dog day afternoon' post, MISSING DOG--FOUND

    I know everyone's
    efforts
    >helped bring her home! If we get up the nerve to head to Marymoor
    (on-leash
    >:-) we'll look for a black Staffy with a white foot! Yea for the bull
    >breeds!
    >
    >Evie is safe and warm and everyone is sooooo happy! On Monday, my
    boyfriend
    >received a call from Bellevue Animal Control while he was in LV for a
    >convention. Of all times not to have my cell phone on me (I was at the
    >chiropractor)! Since I work with my parents, they answered my cell and
    >Animal Control told them the good news and they then called everyone
    so
    I
    >was the last to know--ha, ha!
    >
    >I work on Bainbridge so I had to contain my excitement as I drove to
    the
    >ferry dock and took the 35 min. ride---I swear it took 2 hours!!!
    Animal
    >Control was so nice that they met me at my home and delivered Evie.
    She
    was
    >confused, skinny and had a raw neck and a few scratches, but she was
    >ecstatic to see me and I her! She jumped all over me and licked my
    face

    >(she's not a face licker).
    >
    >The animal control officer (Stan Kingsbury) said that a nice couple
    found
    >her caught in some barbed wire and were afraid to free the "vicious
    dog" so
    >they called animal control. The officer freed her and she was
    immediately
    >gentle afterward. He took off her collar and called AKC Home Again
    >Microchip Service and they told him my address, etc. AKC also called
    to

    >inform me that Evie was found--they were so nice!
    >
    >Anyway, Evie was found within 2 blocks of where she was spotted on
    Feb.
    14
    >with a guy in a gray Nissan truck/SUV. What was odd is that ever since
    my
    >boyfriend and I have been posting flyers around that area, they were
    being
    >ripped down constantly while services for housecleaning, babysitting
    and
    >taxes remained. Strange!!! Last weekend, I put flyers up, yet again,
    and
    >some were ripped down within half an hour! I even went as far as going
    out
    >at night and putting flyers on cars parked on the street and then
    going

    >back out in the morning. Most were removed and the cars still had
    frost
    on
    >the windows so I doubt that most of the owners removed them.
    >
    >Evie still had on her collar, ID and training collar. The animal
    control
    >officer said I had the collar on too tight. I looked at it and it was
    on a
    >notch that I don't put it on and there is no way that it could have
    >tightened by itself. Evie is skinny, but not as skinny and beat up as
    she
    >should be if she were running around by herself for two weeks. All we
    can
    >figure is that someone dumped her after seeing my 500+ flyers around
    that
    >neighborhood, businesses and vet offices and figured it wasn't worth
    it.
    >
    >Thank God she was found when she was b/c it got down below freezing on
    >Monday night and she would have surely frozen to death. God works in
    >mysterious ways! I'm so grateful for everyone's prayers and
    well-wishes. I
    >had such peace about 5 days before she was found that I knew she would
    come
    >back to me. My sister had faith the entire time! Everyone at the
    hospital
    >where she works cheered when they heard the news!
    >
    >God bless!
    >Robyn Allison & Evie the walk-about dog!

Please keep us posted on if they find her. This is very sad. Do you mean she was stolen while she was playing at the park?? Was her owner near by when this happened?

Yes, she was stolen. And her Mom was near by. As you can see by the pic's she is a very active dog. One minute she was there, the next she was gone. I talked to the Mom last night and NO ONE has even called. The went door to door with flyers and posted them all around the area. She is listed missing all over King County.

Do they really think she was stolen or perhaps she just ran off. This will be a sad story for dog parks if this is a dognapping.

Not sure at all what happened to her. Poor pup. Her Mom said if she did follow some dogs to the parking lot, that she would get in a car with them. She loved everyone. She talked with people that worked at the park and they did tell her it, (missing, lost or stolen dogs) happens all to often there. But if they were doing it for the reward, they would have called by now. Our Ashlee would never go with anyone, not too sure about Nina, she loves everyone too.
