People trying to ban 'vicious breeds'

I tell ya, I've only ever been bitten by my friend's evil lhasa apso/shihtsu and my landlords cocker spaniel that *tried* to bite me.
It's too bad what happened to this lady in the story, but *ANY* dog is potentially dangerous if treated badly! same goes for humans. I don't agree with banning breeds, just bad owners!

They're trying to do the same thing here in NZ. It's not going to work. They tried it in the UK and it was completely unenforceable and had to be scrapped. But, people love easy solutions even if they can't realistically solve a problem.

I've never been bit by a pit bull but I have been bit by a pug! So who's to say which breeds are vicious?! Actually the pits that come into our office are really sweet!

Amazing....

My hubby was bit by a snauzer (spelling??) when he was dog sitting. I've never known anyone personally to be hurt by a pit bull. In fact, I slept on the couch with my cousin's pitbull. He wanted to snuggle and love, never attack.

At a local shelter here, they automatically euthanize them if they are brought in!!

Yep, me and my mom drove past this house with some really trashy people living in it, she jokingly said 'gimme my gun, let me take them out of the gene pool' or words to that effect, LOLOL
