    Update of Destiny & Dakota

Hello all! It's been a while since I've really been on here. However, I'm here now and just wanted to let you all know that the girls and us are doing great. Destiny turned 1 year old last weekend and Dakota is officially 8 months. However, today is their big day. They went into the vet this morning to get spayed. Our house is so empty and lonely without them. We can't wait until tomorrow morning when we get to go pick them up from the vet. I just called to check on them and the surgery went great! The vet said that their are still pretty groggy, but doing great. I was so glad to hear that! I can't wait to get them in the morning!

Oh, by the way. I have had two rolls of pics that my husband and I got developed a while ago but we haven't had a chance to go through them and decide which ones I get to send to my mom to have her scan in. I hope to do that really soon so hopefully I'll have even more pics to post soon. Plus, we are supposed to head on a road trip next weekend to Brian's mom's house so I'm sure that I'll get lots of pics of the girls there, including romping around in Grandma's huge backyard (2 to 3 times the size of ours). This is Destiny's first time meeting this grandma, but Dakotas 2nd visit and 3rd time seeing her.

I almost forgot, Destiny is still at about 43 1/2 pounds while Dakota weighed in this morning at 94 to 95 pounds.

I am glad to hear the surgery went well too! I guess if you are going to have them spayed having both of them done at the same time is the way to do it! Then neither will bug the other and they can talk doggie about their incisions to each other!

LOL, I really wish that's the way it had worked. It's so expensive in the area we're in, that's why we waited so long to do it. However, we realize we can't put it off any more. Especially because Destiny just had her first heat a few weeks ago, OPPS, wanted to get it done before that one! But it's done now!

Great pic, thanks for sharing! Yeah, the girls are at home right now and doing pretty good. We're a little worried about Destiny though because she seems to be spot bleeding like she's in heat. Plus, we noticed some extra skin or swelling that doesn't look good and that Dakota doesn't have to I called the vet this morning and they said to bring her in between 2 pm and 5 pm today and they'll take a look at her. I guess Brian has already worked out getting the time off so he'll be the one to go. I really wanna know if we're just over reacting or if somethings wrong, it's driving me nuts! That's my baby! Is it 2 pm here yet, nope, I just want it to be 2 so that Brian will get her to the vet and hopefully we'll find out what's going on! It's driving me nuts. Sorry, just quite a bit worried today! I will keep you updated though and let you know later today, or tomorrow what I find out after she visits the vet!

Well, the girls are doing good! They've taken a long, long trip this past weekend over to Mississippi to see their Grandma and our family over there. Now, they're home safe and sound. Plus, they just went back to the vet this afternoon to get their stitches out. So, they are now stitch free and on their way to complete recovery (they're really there, but now that the stitches are gone, that's one more step that way!).
