I was at this website checking out volunteer opportunities to work with kids. Then I got the idea of taking one through training so they can volunteer with me at the humane society once or twice a week.

I have permission from the humane society and am waiting for email back from the organization.

If you're interested and have a couple hours free each week, you might want to look into it.

(There's opportunities in most cities)

That is such a wonderful idea

Our local animal shelter has juveniles walking dogs as part of thier community service they must complete.

Aly, that is a great idea, Kids love animals so much, it would give them a way to be with animals and teach responsibility.
