Bought Ebby a collar and tag

I know I am keeping Ebbs as an indoor cat but, yesterday, for safetys sake just in case she did manage to escape, I got her a collar and tag. I thought I had blown the trust I had built up with her when I had to catch her to put it on, and sure enough she avoided me for a few hours. Then, in the early evening, in here she came, jumped on my bed and settled down for a nap and kept me company while I caught up with posts on Pet Talk.
You can see her collar if you look hard! LOL

Later in the evening I took a couple more pictures of her in her room, trying to get good shot of her in her new collar (sorry quality isn`t very good, need a better camera!)

    Please take it off!

Hmmmmm....I wonder, when she`s gone I could get it off and hide it down there.

About midnight I checked on her before bed, and guess what? She did just that!

Oh, well back to the drawing board!

That is too funny that she did get out of it. Good luck with getting it back on - and keeping it on. I would think she will eventually get used to it and ignore it.

It looks like Ebby gave you the slip!
My cat has managed to break or slip out of a few collars over the years, usually on days she goes to the vet for her yearly check-up!
When I put a new collar on her she goes and hides for a while too until she gets used to it.
    RIP sweet Samantha

She's a smart one!! All of my cats except Minnie have collars and ID's (Minnie doesnt run as she onced used to ) So all the young ones who try and sneak away they all have a collar id and bell so i can hear them. Every few mornings I see Mitt's blue collar somewhere amongst the house, after a year, he still hates it Either that or he's having a rumble with one of his brothers or sisters (which for him the little instagator) isnt unlikely.
I have had Minnie since I was 4 years old!! I am 18 now, she is truly my best friend for life!! I also am a momma to 6 other beauties as well :-)

Ha ha, another feline Houdini! She probably didn't want the collar to detract from her stunning natural beauty . I know my kitty couldn't stand the jingly collars he used to have - I would always take the little bell off, because it started to drive ME nuts too. He has a plastic tag now so nothing jingles or clanks on him.
The legend says that Mohammed adored cats. When one of them was sleeping on his sleeve and he had to go out, Mohammed supposedly cut off the sleeve so as not to disturb his pet.
