Hi Doctor Dog! Happy Dog of the Day to you, sweet baby boy!

Oh for the day when the horror that is the puppy mill is no more! Until that day, we are forever grateful to organizations such as the Humane Society and selfless, dedicated volunteers such as your human for doing all in their power to save so many helpless pups, ones such as you, helping them to find that loving furever home all doggies, all animals deserve!

I'm so, so sorry you had to endure such unspeakable neglect and abuse before finding your way home, sweetheart. I can only imagine the strength and determination it took for you to survive such evil.

Doc massaged my heart from the moment I saw him and I decided he was a heart specialist! Doctor D had to have a hernia operation, his lower teeth were missing, he needed neutering and social training.

Blessedly you did survive, landing in the arms of a human who saw you for the diamond in the ruff that you were, one who would care for and cherish you forever and always! Your swift transformation from the sick and traumatized pup your human first laid eyes on to the happy and confidant, socialized and life loving boy we meet here today (accompanying your Mom/Dad to work, enjoying the company of pup pals at doggy day care!),is testament to the healing power of proper care and unconditional love, the indomitable spirit of the canine!

To help him, I bring him to my office often and also take him to doggy daycare where he gets along with all sizes, ages and genders of dogs and those in charge of the dogs. Doctor D loves to play fetch, loves his nesting bed, his greenies bones, loves to cuddle and plays patty-cake while lying on his back (with some help from me). I'm giving him the happy childhood he never got as a puppy. I'm very happy that he picked me as his guardian angel

Ahh yes, life is good! But just as your Mom/Dad says, it is she/he who is just as lucky, having been chosen by you to be your one and only; having a beautiful and joyful, sweet and loving fur baby and guardian angel in you!

Great thanks to your human for sharing your heartwarming and life affirming rags to riches rescue story, Doctor Dog! Meeting you this morning, learning how loved you are has made my day! I hope you're enjoying a very special day of celebration...spending fun time with your pup pals at doggy daycare; playing fetch and patty cake, hehe; taking a nice, long nap; receiving bunches of cuddles and oh yes, can't forget those Greenies! Dearest Doctor Dog, you are precious! What an adorable Lhasa Apso you are, indeed! You're so sweet in that great photo, and thank you for sharing it with us. And what a story you have to tell! You came from a puppy mill raid and were sheltered at the Humane Society. One of the volunteers helping the dogs fell in love the minute she met you, and she brought you HOME! You were very scared from your earlier experiences, but you settled quickly into your new safe and caring and loving world! And with your dear person's help, you're learning how to get along with other people and dogs. She's very happy you picked her to be your guardian angel! You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

And we hope the other puppy-mill dogs found wonderful new homes, the puppy mill was shut down, and the evil alleged-humans who ran it were prosecuted and punished severely.
