Hi Bopper! Congratulations on being crowned Dog of the Day, sweetheart, from everyone in this Lab/Retriever loving home! And what a most deserving honoree you are, Bopper!

My heart melted, the moment I laid eyes on your beautiful, sleek shiny self! And after reading your bio., your proud human's love filled tribute, I was a goner!

I admit to being biased, having been Mom to Labs/Retrievers my entire adult life, but you kids truly are so EXTRA special in ways too numerous to mention, and you, sweetheart, are the best of the best! What's more special than a beautiful black Lab? A special needs Lab! And what's more special than a beautiful, special needs Lab? A rescued special needs Lab! Being a tripod, I guess officially you are a special needs pup, but it's clear your loss of a limb hasn't kept you from living every minute of your wonderful life to its fullest!

How lucky your family is, Bopper, having been blessed with a furkid as beautiful, as smart, as loyal and loving, as big hearted as you! A friend to all, that you are Bopper, wanting nothing more to love and be loved in return!

Bopper makes great friends wherever he goes. He wags his tail and looks for pets and praise from all passer byes on our walks

And just as your humans says, I too have no doubt your beloved predecessor Carlo, "God's special treasure," led you to your family, and how well you honor his legacy, bringing so much comfort and joy, love and smiles to their lives! What a priceless gift!

He is a great companion. Bopper knows when someone is feeling down as he will instinctively come over for attention (that he wants to give to you) and lay by you and stay until he thinks you are feeling better. He will lay his head on your lap or your leg and just sigh with his big brown eyes and give you big slurpies (kisses) if your face is near his reach

Endless thanks to CILRA and your foster mom, Carol, for helping to make your and your family's love story a reality! And the rest is happy history!

Our Bopper is one special boy (just like they all are) and we love him very much and thank CILRA very much for letting us adopt him.

Great thanks to your family for sharing your heartwarming backstory and utterly heart-melting photos with us, sweetheart! Learning of the very special place you hold in your humans' hearts and they in yours has been such a treat! I hope you're treated to a very special Dog of the Day celebration...going for a fun car ride and walk in the park...maybe a swim in your vet pal's pool; chowing down on your fave foods and treats; giving and receiving tons of slurpies; being loved and pampered to pieces by your wonderful pack of humans! Dearest Bopper, a.k.a. Big Bopper, what an absolutely stunning fellow you are! That blistening black coat looks so soft and luxurious, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big brown eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us. What a gorgeous example of a tripod you are, what a terrific role model! You don't let that missing limb slow you down in the slightest, do you.

You have the most delightful personality! You're full of energy and make everyone smile with your antics. You make great friends wherever you go, and you're a great companion. You can tell when someone is feeling down, and you instinctively go over to give that person some attention, sometimes even slurpies! You and your dear people all love each other very much, don't you. They adopted you just a week after they'd lost their loving and beloved great black lab Carlo, and we bet Carlo Angel had a lot to do with bringing you all together!
