Casper, I fell in love with you the second I saw you. Your pictures made me smile and your story brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad you have a happy, forever home. I know how special rescues are. Happy Easter from my two babies, Buddy and Lucy Belle!

Casper gets tired of his photoshoots sometimes, but in general enjoys our adventures and is willing to put up with me wanting to document them.

We are both honoured that he is the Easter dog of the day, and look forward to hearing from the POTD community on this forum.

He was scared of Cadbury "The Great Bunny"; it took treats to get him to sit beside the bunny and if it moved the least bit he would run. Pictures can be quite deceiving as it looks like they are great friends.

You are indeed a wonderful looking ghost and goat dog. Me thinks you have 'sheep dog' (Collie dog) although being a cat I am no expert! Prrrr Prrrr.

I'm so pleased you've found a wonderful family to live with. Perhaps we'll see 'Cadbury the Great Bunny' as DOTD in the future?

Happy Easter, happy Dog of the Day to you, beautiful Casper! What a most wonderful choice you are for our very special, Easter Sunday, Dog of the Day honors, one most deserving honoree! And what a beautiful, heartwarming, life affirming rags to riches story is yours! *Happy tears* falling here too, after reading your story, poring over all of your HEART MELTING photos! Talk about living the good life, down on the farm; hiking, biking, snowshoeing and skiing the days away, being loved to pieces! And just look that bevy of beautiful canine sibs and pals with whom you share that happy life! Now, we may never solve the mystery of your lineage! (I'm thinking some Pyr with a dash of Lab, for sure!) But one thing is for certain; you are one much loved, full fleged member of the family, one who will forever and always be cherished for the EXTRA special boy that you are! Congratulations to you dear Casper on being a very special Easter DOTD! You are a very handsome lad. Thank goodness you were fostered and adopted from the shelter by such a loving family. Now you have the furrever home you so deserve dear boy. Your photos brought a smile to my face.
