What a lovely lady you are. I am so sad to hear that you were abused but the past 7 years have been wonderful, where you are the Princess! Such a gentle soul as yourself, I am not surprised that little birds feel safe in your presence. You have quite a full coat in many of these photos, I suspect you are a bit smaller underneath all the woolly covering. Korky sounds like the perfect friend for you.

What a beautifully written, love filled tribute to one exquisitely beautiful Llama girl your human has penned. Your Mommy's (or Daddy's) words, your lovely photos, brought tears to my eyes, Shirley! That photo of you gazing so longingly in that field of Queen Anne's Lace is simply exquisite!

I shudder to think of the horrible existence you eked out, the neglect and abuse you suffered before finding your forever family. How anyone could look into those gentle and loving, soulful brown eyes of yours and feel anything but love, is beyond me.

But thankfully your family found their way to you, and hopefully those sad and lonely days are now but a distant memory. One word came to my mind as I read your very moving story, of the happy, carefree, "life of a princess" you are leading...and that is enchanting. And everyone lucky enough to cross your path, from your family to your many admiring visitors (especially those with special needs), are truly blessed to have been touched by your gentle spirit!

Great thanks to your family for sharing your very touching story, your beautiful photos with us all! You truly are one very special Llama girl, Shirley, and so very deserving of our extra special Sunday honors!

Hi, Shirley! I'd love to live in your neighborhood... and watch you enjoying your meadow every day! I'm sorry your life had such a difficult start. I am glad the SPCA worked with your people to place you in your forever home, where you are treasured and loved! I can only imagine the smiles and joy you bring to people who visit you, especially people with disabilities. You have a lot to teach your visitors about overcoming adversity. I've never seen a llama in person but would love too, specially after seeing your wonderful pictures. Your eyes are just heart-melting. How any one could be mean to you is beyond me.
