Dear, sweet, precious Gricko~

I have tears in my eyes, reading your human's very touching, heart wrenching, love filled tribute to her/his beautiful best friend; her confidant and comforter, her furry soul mate. How blessed your person was to have had a "first" as special as you, Gricko, I can't think of a more cherished birthday gift than one of furry love, and it breaks my heart to think she/he no longer has you there by her/his side, physically. But the paw prints you left behind, on her heart, are everlasting, and the memories she/he holds in her heart, hopefully will bring her comfort until that wonderful day, that joyful day, when you are together once more.

You've earned your angel wings, sweet Gricko, and now, healthy and healed and whole once more, your beautiful, loving spirit graces the Rainbow Bridge. Wait patiently there for your person, Gricko, and send down your love to comfort her; she misses you so very much.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful boy, his story and utterly heart melting photos with us; for giving us the chance to honor him and all that he meant to you. I'm so, so very sorry you had to say goodbye, temporarily, to your beloved friend. How lucky you were to have had a furkid, a Pet of a Lifetime, as special as he, and I hope reading all of the heartfelt words of support here today help to ease your sadness just a bit. We all know how difficult, how painful it is to lose a furkid, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Handsome Gricko, you were one fine Degu, eventually learning to trust and become a comfort to your devoted guardian. May you continue to look after him/her from Rainbow Bridge, sending psychic messages or appearing in dreams so your loving person knows that you are still there for him/her and aniticipating when you both will be reunited someday. To our very special POTD, may you have a celebration in RB befitting all the love and companionship you so generously offered here on earth.
