    Riley is home!

Bbrought Riley home about 6:30 this evening. She was spayed, had a dental with 1 tooth removed, and was microchipped.

They had 6 surgeries today, Riley was last; they were almost finished w/ her dental at 1:30 PM. Thus the late pick up. She is Sooooo sleepy, lol. But doing very well. She has Clavamox (antibiotic) and Rimadyl (anti inflammatory and pain relief to start tomorrow.

The sutures are inside, and are dis-solvable. She has a small dressing with bandage on the outside. NO COLLAR NECESSARY! My how things have changed since the last time I had a female spayed.

I brought up a crate for her (she has used crates in prior homes), put 2 nice beds in it. She wobbled her way in and is snoozing, perhaps for the night, lol.

I just tried offering her some canned food, she wants nothing to do with it. For now I'll let her be but tomorrow she is going to have to show some interest!

And one of Tasha (just because!)

I'm glad to hear that everything went well and that she's now home. Hopefully she'll heal up quickly and will want to eat tomorrow. I wonder if they spay cats differently now too.

I'm hoping for a speedy and complete recovery.

When Becca had her Spay, there was a small scar originally, but, after a couple weeks, it disappeared completely. The only way to tell now that she's altered, is to ask Sneakers.

I'm so glad the spaying went well for Riley and I know you'll take great care of her. You're a good mom to your crew!! I have to get Sissy spayed in a month or so--sort of dread it for her (and me) but of course I'll have it done. Glad your new little girl is feeling better and eating. She is so lucky that you're her human mom.
