94th Birthday

Pictures Mom took yesterday at Chanterelle's restaurant on Division Street south of Trinity United Church for Phyllis McRobbie's 94th birthday.In the first picture,Phyllis is wearing a Yellow Corsage to her left is her sister Lois who is 93,to the right of Phyllis is Sherry Rupa ,owner of Leisure Lady,her original store was burnt in a fire in 2008 and is now across the street,Mom goes there often, takes Phyllis there on Apple fest,to her right is Willie Woo,a local councillor,to Lois's left is Linda Duffy,a family friend of Phyllis,2nd picture from left to right is Marg Gilpin,a neighbor who lives on Parkway Crescent up the street and around the corner,Cathy Abernethy,the former Mayor's wife,Phyllis's daughter Bev Swain and Linda Duffy,3rd picture is Rose Kuipers,she and her husband Kory run Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home where Dad's service was in 2007,in the middle is her Grandson and 3rd is Jim Abernethy,the former Mayor of Clarington,is now a Realtor,4th picture is Willie Woo, Ruth Tuckett who worked for Sherry Rupa at Leisure Lady,Trix who does sewing at Leisure Lady,Madlyn Wilcox friend of mom who goes to our church,Harold Hammond who did the Eulogy at Dad's service, my sister Marlene, and another friend of Phyllis and church member Dorothy Morris,not in the picture is Harold's wife Helen.Phyllis is back home now,has been in a nursing home since August,had rehab for a leg she hurt in a fall last year,has kidney trouble as well,she will be getting some help with meals,laundry and house cleaning,she is going to try to get her licence back to drive,probably will.Salmon was part of the first course and there was soup,not sure what kind,everyone had a good time,Mom bought the corsage for Phyllis.

I was going to ask who was the birthday person, because I didn't see anyone that looked old enough to be 94. She looks great!
