Amazing as always. That tree is spooky indeed. Can you see a skull in there? I can.

Yes, I saw it, but not before I viewed that picture on my computer. So spooky! A while later, I passed by that tree again, and there, I saw that "skull" in person.... Eerie!

Oh wow...where do I begin?!? These are all awesome pics. I sort of like the creepy tree one. The lightening ones are very cool and the forest one is so colorful.

The self portrait is beautiful as well. You take a good pic of yourself!!!

Oh, and the spider-web. I actually like spider-webs. I have a deck that wraps around the back of my house with spindles every 3 or so inches. This time of year with the fog in the morning there are many spider-webs to be seen. Amazing that a little creature can make a beautiful lacey thing like that.

These are all beautiful, so striking. You have such talent, Kirsten!

I saw the skull in the spooky tree after it was mentioned here. The black and white makes it even more powerful. I think that would win you some contests, especially with Halloween coming.

Kirsten, those are the most amazing I've ever seen! The most haunting is the one with the skulls and I think the most beautiful is your self portrait.

OMG, those are sooooo good. I tried to pick my favorite and kept arguing with myself. They are too spectacular to pick just one. Wish I had your talent.

Kirsten, there are no words in any language to adequately describe the beauty of your photography! There isn't anything you can't do with a camera. As always these pictures are absolutely awesome. I love the scary picture of the tree, in fact I saw 2 "faces" on it. Thank you so very much for sharing your art with us. Should you ever have your photography made into a book or album, I'll be the first to order it no matter what the cost!

    Misty morning in early autumn
The landscape is bath in golden light
    Softer than summer's harsh sun
Leaves still on their branches are silhouetted in the mist
The air, cool and thick with moisture
Lies still above the dark river
As it makes its meandering way
    Through the meadows and trees
    Still flowing but whispering
In the stillness of the autumn dawn
"Ice is coming, prepare ye creatures on the riverbanks
Store that seed that hangs heavy with dew in the amber light
Autumn is here, but not for long
Not for long ... for long ..." it whispers
To anyone quiet enough to listen
    I've Been Frosted
