I don't remember the exact date, but sometime this weekend ten years ago I met Don Juan at the old Santa Clara Valley Humane Society. I had to wait a few days to take him home, while he made The Ultimate Sacrifice, but we've been best friends ever since. He's stood by (and on) me in good times and bad. Now he's top cat in a family of four kitties!
