What a pleasure it is to meet you, Dixie! Seeing your beautiful face up on my screen first thing this morning, reading all about your happy life and the deep love Marilyn has for you, was the perfect way to start by gray and gloomy day! What a gorgeous girl you are, Dixie! Love that big smile, and I have to say, you don't look a day over 5!


That's one very special young lady you have in Marilyn (wise beyond her years), and how lucky she is to have known your love and devotion since the day she was born!!! And thanks to you, no doubt she's a doggie lover for life! My Labbie girl Star is 12 years old too, and like you, while getting a little creeky in the hips, the Lab in her keeps her active and playful even as she enters her golden years; she just can't resist that ball and a good game of catch!


You're every family's dream doggie, Dixie, the best friend a human (especially a young person) could ever hope for, and so very deserving of being honored here today! You're not only worthy of the title Dog of the Day, you're Dog of a Lifetime! As your wise lady says, a doggie's love makes a home complete, and in you they have the best!
